Paddington

Paddington once described as “A city of Palaces” is seeing an astonishing resurgence largely due to the magnificent Paddington Waterside development which has and is transforming the area known as the Paddington Basin.



The basin is the terminus for a part of the Grand Union Canal Paddington Branch where Over 1,000 new homes and commercial developments in excess of a million square feet have already been built. Adjacent to Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s masterpiece, Paddington Station, one can walk to Little Venice where the canal becomes the Regent’s canal. Here in this charming spot one can take waterbuses to and from Camden Lock and London Zoo. There are a variety of canal boats including a puppet theatre and restaurant.

Also forming part of the Basin is Paddington Central where at Sheldon Square there are a host of bars, restaurants, retail shops and offices. This whole development is quite superb and the life and activity generated on the canal and in the immediate area will come to be a popular and vibrant part of Paddington.

Paddington Waterside is the jewel in Paddington’s crown and will provide a focus for living, leisure and work for not only the residents of the area but also for the thousands of visitors which this splendid development will attract.
